2013 offered several interesting experiences, one of which was the opportunity to watch and compare as Westinghouse Ivory Micarta (a paper/phenolic laminate) ages. In this respect, the man-made material mimics nature. Interesting, to say the least. So, here are some pictures:
The top knife is freshly finished, the lower one is about 10 months aged.
