Another Buck 119 “Special” Re-Handled

The original handle was broken off, and the owner had done a nice job of fitting it with wooden panels to replace the phenolic. It was held together with electrical tape.

As with old bandaids, adhesive tape has a propensity for getting nasty.

So, I think green canvas micarta and stainless steel bolts will be an improvement. Also, for light chopping and slashing, the grip will be more secure. The guard is original. The sheath required an extra snap-half, since the handle butt is a bit thicker.
